Medical Director
Dr. Greg Mullinax joined Baptist Medical Group in August 2017 after practicing full-scope family medicine for 14 years and deciding to pursue training in Palliative Medicine. He completed a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at the University of Tennessee and is boarded in Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He is the System Medical Director of Palliative Medicine for Baptist Medical Group and is also the Medical Director of the Baptist Trinity Home Palliative Care program. He attends on the inpatient palliative consult service at Baptist Memphis, and serves as associate faculty for the Adult Hospice and Palliative Fellowship through the UT Health Science Center.

Palliative Nurse Practitioner
Brett Snodgrass has been a registered nurse since 1997 and a family nurse practitioner since 2007, practicing in multiple settings, including family practice, urgent care, emergency departments, administration, chronic pain and palliative medicine. She is currently the Operations Director for Palliative Medicine at Baptist Health Systems in Memphis, TN. She is board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse.
She is a nationally recognized nurse practitioner speaker and teacher. Brett Is a chronic pain expert, working for more than 20 years with chronic pain patients in a variety of settings. She currently serves on the TN Chronic Pain Task Force. She is a director at large of the TN Pain Society. Past awards include AANP State Excellence Award for Tennessee for her work across the state on the TN Chronic Pain Task Force, as well as advocating for TN Full Practice Authority for Nurse Practitioners and the 2017 Memphis Business Journal Healthcare Hero Award.
Dr. Gina Walton is a board-certified Hospice and Palliative Medicine physician who specializes in caring for those with serious medical illnesses. She completed her medical education and training at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Prior to focusing on the practice of Palliative Medicine, Dr. Walton was an Internal Medicine hospitalist providing care to the veteran population. She joined Baptist Medical Group in 2020.
Palliative Nurse Practitioner
Linda M. Bowen, originally from Buffalo, New York, is proud to serve as a member of the Baptist Medical Group Palliative Medicine Team. Linda has also served in the Baptist Health Care System as a Nurse Manager of the Observation Unit, Nursing Staff Development, the Clinical Residency Program, Nursing Float Pool, and the Admission Unit. Her clinical experience spans over 20 years and her passion is providing holistic care for individuals with serious illnesses. Linda enjoys spending time with family, reading, and painting.
Palliative Nurse Practitioner
Kristy Fayne is a Family Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Hospice and Palliative Care. She recently enrolled at California State University Shiley Institute for Palliative Care to obtain Palliative Care certification. She holds national board certification with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She has spent nearly her entire nursing career focused in the care of chronically ill patients with a focus in Palliative Care and Hospice.
Palliative Nurse Practitioner
Venester Knight is a family nurse practitioner who specializes in palliative care. She is accredited by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She has served in the nursing profession for over 30 years, having 15 years of hospice experience and 10 years experience in palliative medicine. When she isn't working she enjoys spending time with her husband, four adult children and her eight grandchildren.
Palliative Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Jennifer M. Baker is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has interned in several agencies including alcohol and drugs, mental health, and a prison release program. Throughout her career, she engaged adolescents and adults in different capacities with an interest in hospital social work. Additionally, she worked in Case Management for 16 years with three of those years as a Lead Social Worker. In 2018, Jennifer transitioned to the palliative medicine team in effort to support chronically ill patients suffering with grief, anxiety, and depression while utilizing various resources and coping mechanisms. She has been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is a Certified Case Manager. She is currently pursuing Certification in Hospice and Palliative through National Association of Social Work.
Palliative Chaplain
Chaplain Carter is a board certified chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains and the National Association of Veterans Affairs Chaplains. Furthermore, Chaplain Carter served in the Tennessee Air National Guard for a decade. He visualizes himself as a “Hope Dealer” because his desire is to encourage others to remain hopeful throughout their afflictions and anguish. Presently, he is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Faith & Health: Pastoral Therapy at Memphis Theological Seminary. Future ambitions include becoming a board certified palliative chaplain, publishing devotionals, and embarking upon a leadership role in chaplaincy.
Palliative Care Coordinator
Bernice Allen received her training in nursing thirty-five years ago at Baptist Hospital Memphis TN. She has vast experience in multiple areas of nursing to include military nursing leadership for twenty-two years. She is one of two nurses for the Palliative Medicine team and spends her days with patients and their families assisting with symptom management, decision-making, and legacy building. She provides comfort, physically, mentally and spiritually. She counsels and educates her patients and family members on what is to come. Bernice has special affinity to pre and post discussions with patients and families requiring advanced circulatory support. She is a retired Lieutenant Colonel and is married to James Allen.
