Bernice Allen received her training in nursing thirty-five years ago at Baptist Hospital Memphis TN. She has vast experience in multiple areas of nursing to include military nursing leadership for twenty-two years. She is one of two nurses for the Palliative Medicine team and spends her days with patients and their families assisting with symptom management, decision-making, and legacy building. She provides comfort, physically, mentally and spiritually. She counsels and educates her patients and family members on what is to come. Bernice has special affinity to pre and post discussions with patients and families requiring advanced circulatory support. She is a retired Lieutenant Colonel and is married to James Allen.
