Chaplain Carter is a board certified chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains and the National Association of Veterans Affairs Chaplains. Furthermore, Chaplain Carter served in the Tennessee Air National Guard for a decade. He visualizes himself as a “Hope Dealer” because his desire is to encourage others to remain hopeful throughout their afflictions and anguish. Presently, he is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Faith & Health: Pastoral Therapy at Memphis Theological Seminary. Future ambitions include becoming a board certified palliative chaplain, publishing devotionals, and embarking upon a leadership role in chaplaincy.
